Nature Safari: Post-16 Stages

Think we only visit Schools? Think again!

From Countryside Management courses through to Animal Care, Nature Safari can deliver workshop sessions which not only enhance learning, but allow students to develop skills within their chosen career path of the future. Plus our workshops also compliment the examining body module requirements too!

With almost 5 years experience of designing and delivering FE and HE programmes, our Senior Field Officer can provide structured experiences which meet with A Level, BTEC and NPTC City and Guilds courses of study, as well as ones to enrich most degree programmes.

Some of the subjects we can cover include:

  • Ecological Concepts and Biological Processes

  • Fauna and Flora Ecology and Identification

  • Animal Care and Handling (Choose from Small Mammals, Reptiles or Invertebrates)

  • Plant and Soil Sciences

  • Environmental Science

  • Population Ecology and Behaviour

  • Ecological Surveying and Monitoring (such as Phase 1 and NVC, Longworth trapping and Freshwater Quality assessment)

  • Taxonomy, Classification and Evolution

  • Countryside and Habitat Management Skills

  • Environmental Interpretation and Recreation

However this list is not extensive and we can tailor-make experiences to suit your subject and group.

So, whether your aim is to enlighten the group into the impacts of urbanisation on hedgehog populations (for example), or just allow them to competently lay a hedge to set objectives, why not contact us and see how we can get involved and enhance the learning experience?
